Windows Operating System Updates
Older Windows operating systems need to have Windows updates run to install the Windows 10 Universal C Runtime. After the updates are complete the OpenCL Drivers and Runtimes for Intel Architecture (download from https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/opencl-drivers) need to be installed.
If it is not possible to run Windows updates, the specific update KB2999226 is required (download from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226)
However, KB2999226 has prerequisites. You may need to first install:
- Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (download from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/935791)
- Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (download from http://windows.microsoft.com/installwindows7sp1)
- Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (download from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/968849)
- Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (download from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=199583)
- Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 update
